N. Rinehart: Introducing the AllPlay research model: Making the World Fit for All Kids

Abstract
1 in 5 children will be diagnosed with a develop­mental delay or disability.  Globally, many of these children will receive no intervention or support, let alone evidence-based health care.  AllPlay is an Australia-wide initiative focused on creating a new stepped-model of care that promotes inclusion in education, sports, and dance, with a goal of improving physical and mental health in children. Engaging families, professionals, and communities, AllPlay reaches over 3 million people and has strong government, philanthropic and industry partnerships. This presentation will reflect on the past 10 years of AllPlay research findings and program development, including our recent expansion to China.
