Committees and Delegates
The work in committees is very important, because in them the decisions are made that really affect us (e.g. study and examination regulations). Here we explain the most important committees.
Academic Affairs Committee (Studienkommission; StuKo)
The Academic Affairs Committee performs tasks in an advisory capacity that are important for the organization and proper implementation of teaching and study activities and for ensuring proper study; in particular, it submits proposals for the study regulations and the course of study. It monitors compliance with the study regulations and submits proposals for amendments to the study regulations to the Faculty Board. It is comprised of 4 students and 4 lecturers. The student members are proposed by the Faculty Students‘ Council (FSR) and confirmed by the Faculty Board. The StuKo prepares and evaluates the evaluation of teaching. The StuKo also gives students with difficulties advice on their studies or suggests high-achieving students for awards. The chairperson of the StuKo is the Dean of Studies. The StuKo meets monthly. The meetings of the StuKo are open to the faculty.

Examination Boards (Prüfungsausschüsse; PA)
There is an examination board for each of the 5 study programs of the Faculty of Psychology.
Among other things, the boards ensure compliance with the provisions of the examination regulations, monitor and report on proper examination procedures and, as the examination authority, decide on applications (e.g. for extensions, compensation for disadvantages, recognition). The FSR nominates 2 students (Bachelor) or 1 student (Master and Diplom) to represent you in the board. The boards meet once a semester after the end of the examination period (usually in April and November). You can find further information as well as important news from the examination boards on the pages of the Examination Office

Students' Council (Studierendenrat; StuRa)
The Students' Council is your student representation at TU Dresden. Currently, about 30 students are active in the StuRa on a voluntary basis and stand up for all 30,000 students on campus. Among other things, the StuRa conducts negotiations on the semester ticket and is responsible for the recognition of university groups. In addition, they help you with all topics concerning your studies with an extensive range of advice. You can find more information on the pages of the Students' Council
The plenum consists of the representatives of the different FSRs. In this plenum, proposals are discussed and decided upon every two weeks. We have 1 vote in the StuRa and send 1 basic representative and 1 backup representative.
We delegate to the StuRa in the academic year 23/24:
- Robert Ritter (base representative)
- Frederike Noack (backup representative)
School Committee
The Faculty of Psychology belongs to the School of Science. The 33 members are composed as follows:
17 from the group of university teachers
6 from the group of academic members
6 from the group of students
3 from the group of other employees
1 equal opportunities representative
Many resolutions passed in the individual faculty councils require the approval of the School Committee. Otherwise, all matters concerning the school of science are dealt with in the School Committee.
The student representatives of the School Committee are elected every year.
