Two New Articles
The articles "Ten steps towards a better personality science - How quality may be rewarded more in research evaluation" (Leising et al., 2022a) and "Ten steps towards a better personality science - A rejoinder to the comments" (Leising et al., 2022b) by Daniel Leising, Isabel Thielmann, Andreas Glöckner, Anne Gärtner and Felix Schönbrodt were recently published in the journal Personality Science with an open access license. The authors outline ten steps that can make a major contribution to improving the science of personality science. The focus here is on encouraging consensus and credibility in empirical research. Since the current quantity-based incentive structures often prevents the implementation of such practices, the authors propose a quality-based reward system in which scientists are rewarded for good work rather than a lot.
