IKPP Symposium in the summer semester 2024
The symposium of the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (IKPP) at TU Dresden took place this summer semester on the 6th and 7th of June, 2024. The aim of this event was to promote the exchange of the latest research results at the institute and to stimulate scientific discourse between staff and students. From our professorship, Dr. Johanna Petzoldt presented findings on parental ambivalence in the transition to parenthood. Our doctoral student Julia Ditzer also presented initial results from her meta-analysis on child abuse and interoception.
Alongside the keynote speeches by Silvia Schneider and Jürgen Margraf from the Ruhr University Bochum, an additional highlight of the event was undoubtedly the ceremonial farewell to Jürgen Hoyer, which was accompanied by original quotes from his time at the institute. Many of Jürgen Hoyer's companions also attended the subsequent summer party to toast this special occasion with him.
The symposium was a great success on all fronts! Therefore, a special thanks to the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience, which organized the IKPP symposium and the summer party. We are already looking forward to the next IKPP Symposium in November!
