International COST Action "TREASURE" Working Meeting at the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
From September 28 to October 1, 2026, the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at TU Dresden hosted an international working meeting of the COST Action TREASURE (Maternal Perinatal Stress and Adverse Outcomes in the Offspring: Maximising Infants' Development). Researchers from various European countries came together in Dresden to jointly advance a meta-analysis on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions for reducing stress in mothers during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Lea Wölflein from TU Dresden coordinates the international working group on this meta-analysis within the TREASURE network. Together with Eva Bütow and researchers from several European countries, she is examining the existing evidence on interventions to reduce perinatal stress. With more than 300 included studies, this is an extensive research project that benefits in particular from international collaboration and the exchange of diverse scientific perspectives.
The four-day meeting focused on continuing the statistical analyses together, discussing methodological and content-related questions, and planning the next steps toward completing the meta-analysis. Meeting in person enabled particularly intensive and productive collaboration and helped to advance key analysis steps jointly.
We are delighted with the great progress the international team made during the meeting in Dresden and look forward to finalizing the results of the meta-analysis in the coming months.
Our thanks go to the COST Action TREASURE for its support and for the opportunity to host this international working meeting at TU Dresden.
