OUR TEAM MEMBERS INTRODUCE THEMSELVES! - PART 5
Dr. Gesine Wieder began her research work by investigating the relationship between maternal psychopathology, pregnancy complaints and child development. As part of her doctorate entitled ‘Vocally encoded emotional arousal - Application of an innovative technique in the context of exposure-based CBT for panic disorder and agoraphobia’, she researched the mutual emotional influence in the therapy relationship at the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at TU Dresden from 2011 to 2018. She then worked on various projects in the Faculty of Psychology and Medicine and at the Centre for Information Services and High Performance Computing at TU Dresden. She is a systemic counsellor in training and relaxation trainer and has been a freelance counsellor on the topics of partnership, pregnancy/parenthood and relaxation (www.relativ-einfach.de) since 2020.
She joined the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology as a postdoctoral researcher in August 2024. In her research, she analyses the voice as a reflection of emotional arousal and is interested in emotion (co)regulation in the parent-child triad and the extended family.
Dr. Gesine Wieder participates in the Open Science Initiative of the Faculty of Psychology.
