TREASURE COST ACTION – Productive meeting in Tirana, Albania

TREASURE (CA22114) is a COST Action led by Rafael A. Caparros‑González that explores how maternal stress around pregnancy and birth shapes child development. By linking researchers, clinicians and stakeholders across Europe, the network turns science into hands‑on prevention and care.

On 23-24 June 2025 aound 60 members gathered at Western Balkans University in Tirana for the fourth Core & Working‑Group meeting. Our delegates Anna‑Lena Zietlow, Lea Krumpholtz and Eva Bütow injected new momentum into their work‑streams, while a keynote by Prof. Susan Ayers (City, University of London) on birth trauma and PTSD sparked lively debate about clinical follow‑up. Another highlight was the very interesting keynote of the host, Dr. Ana Uka.

With fresh ideas, we look forward to strengthening collaboration within the TREASURE network in the months ahead.
