Alexander Giesche started as a PhD student at the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience in July 2020. In his research, he tries to answer the question whether the anticipation of one's own future (episodic future thinking, emotion anticipation) and of the internal states of other people (empathy, Theory of Mind) overlap. He also intends to look for a link between these processes and self-control. To this end, he uses both behavioral and imaging data.
