Social relationships are important for a fulfilled life. However, mental illnesses often have a negative impact on relationships. My research focuses on the extent to which mental illnesses affect social processes (such as mimicry or empathy) and whether this changes through psychotherapy. The aim is to understand connections such as the link between emotion regulation and interaction in order to better support those who are affected.
