Katharina Hierl received her B.Sc. in Psychology and M.Sc. in Cognitive Affective Neuroscience from the Technical University of Dresden. In 2024, she started a PhD position at the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience.
In her research, she investigates neural correlates of trajectories of affective disorders, especially with regard to emotion regulation and empathy. She is furthermore enthusiastic about (neuro)scientific research methods and olfaction.
