Yan Li completed her B.Ed. in early childhood education at Fujian Normal University and M.Ed. in early childhood education at Southwest University. She also undertook a research visit to the National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan. She then started her doctoral studies at the Technische Universität Dresden. In her research, she tries to explore the prevalence of interpersonal emotion regulation, and demonstrate the sources and correlates of interpersonal emotion regulation in age comparison. To address these questions, laboratory study and experience sampling are combined to shed light on underlying mechanisms of interpersonal emotion regulation.
