New publication out "Soundtrack to the social world"

Brennan McDonald and his colleagues investigated how music influences empathy, compassion, prosocial decision making and Theory of Mind. They found enhanced empathy, compassion and prosocial decision making when emotional music was present during videos displaying emotionally negative narrations. No such enhancement was present for Theory of Mind performance.
