Eleonore-Trefftz Guest Professorship: Welcome Julia Linke
We welcome Julia Linke as an Eleonore-Trefftz Guest Professor. The Eleonore Trefftz programme enables female professors, as well as junior professors and researchers the opportunity to teach and research at a guest institution. The programme aims to increase the chances of women obtaining full professorships and provides them with a platform to serve as role models for more female researchers beyond their current network.
Julia Linke, who is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, joined TU Dresden this summer semester. She integrates clinical and developmental psychology with cognitive neuroscience to study brain-behavior mechanisms underlying emotion-cognition interactions in mood and anxiety disorders. Her research focuses on understanding how children and adolescents process emotionally relevant information and how social context shapes these mechanisms. Having investigated the neurodevelopmental factors contributing to mood and anxiety disorders in childhood and adolescence as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institutes of Health, she aims to develop early interventions to reduce socioemotional problems in youth.
