New review on neuroscience of narcissism
Narcissism is associated with a grandiose yet vulnerable self. Though psychological research could gain many insights on the paradoxical patterns of experience and behavior associated with narcissism, it has to rely in large part on self-reports, which are not always accurate. A systematic review of an emerging field Emanuel Jauk and Philipp Kanske show how neuroscience methods can unveil intrapsychic processes of narcissistic individuals and present a model providing hypotheses for future studies. The open-access article was published in Personality Neuroscience.
