Short Biography
Viktoria Anna Arndt became a research assistant at the Chair of Addiction Research in January 2020. Within project B01, as part of the Collaborative Research Centre 265 “Losing and Regaining Control over Drug Intake: From Trajectories to mechanisms to interventions (ReCoDe)”, her research focuses on moderators of habitual versus goal-directed decision making in human addiction.
She studied psychology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, where she examined predictors and positive as well as negative psychosocial outcome in patients with intracranial tumors for her diploma thesis.
Research interests
- habitual and goal-oriented behavior in alcohol use and connections to clinical progression
- development of habits and skills in humans
- psychosocial distress and posttraumatic growth in patients with brain tumors
