Conference EARLI SIG8meetsSIG16 Recap

From August 24-26, 2022, we hosted more than 250 researchers from all over the world at the conference Motivation and Emotion meets Metacognition and Self-regulated Learning (SIG8meetsSIG16) in Dresden at August-Bebel-Straße (80 of them online).

The conference participants used the various possibilities (face-to-face, hybrid, online synchronous or asynchronous) to present and discuss their current research work in a very lively and enthusiastic way. In addition, there was a lively participation both on-site and online in the 6 outstanding keynotes, as well as in the Joint Day events (https://sig8meetssig16-dresden.de/scientific-program/).

In addition to the scientific program, the accompanying socio-cultural program was also enthusiastically received. Conference participants were able to enjoy Dresden's unique beauty during a sunset city walk as well as a conference dinner in the Zwinger's French Pavilion. During the conference wrap-up at the Carolaschlösschen the lively exchange continued among conference participants continued.
