The building industry faces great challenges due to digitization of working processes. Today building projects are increasingly planned and realized based on digital information. This method will become a standard method in near future. Under the name BIM (building information modeling) new planning and implementation methods emerge which influence individual work and also accompany new forms of coordination of all involved parties.
eWorkBau aimed to design and evaluate a training to qualify craftspeople in the BIM method. The training puts on innovative learning technologies, e.g. through combination of online events in virtual classrooms and phases of self-regulated learning with online learning modules, synchronous learning in chats and video conferences, asynchronous learning in boards, blogs and experience knowledge platforms.
Tasks and contributions of the chair:
- Development of the methodical/didactical training concept
- Conception of learning and instruction modules, which are based on authencial building scenarios and support craft specific views on the BIM method
- Conception of interactive functionalities of the learning and instruction modules
- Development of interactive learning tasks
- Support for instructors at the training
- Evaluation and optimization of the training
