Discontinued degree programme
As of the 2023/24 winter semester, registration for the 1st semester of the Media Research degree program will no longer be possible. Instead, the subject Media Research will be offered as part of the new Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Bachelor’s degree program as a 1st or 2nd major subject.

General information for the degree programme
The bachelor's programme "Media Research" is a degree programme geared to the requirements of professional practice and based on fundamental knowledge of communication science. It prepares students for jobs in the field of public communication, in particular communication mediated by the mass media. By selecting and combining a total of eleven supplementary areas, a precise strategic orientation of the programme can be achieved for a professional career or the subsequent master's programme.
