Improvements in user service - self-photography and WLAN access in the University Archives
The University Archive of the TU Dresden has improved its user service. Users can now photograph archive material free of charge and with their own devices (e.g. smartphone, camera). In addition, a scantent is available for this purpose.

The offer applies to documents that are not subject to any archival protection periods or copyright, art copyright or data protection regulations. For documents that are subject to these protection regulations, reproductions will continue to be made by the staff of the University Archives. A book scanner was recently acquired for these purposes.
Thanks to the relocation of an access point in the immediate vicinity of the user room, all users also have free WLAN access. Students and employees of the TU Dresden use their ZIH login for this purpose. Guest access is provided for non-members of the TUD.
