Design Elements
The WebCMS of the TU Dresden offers various elements for page design. On the following pages we would like to show you the possibilities by means of thematically prepared sample elements and support you with the editorial maintenance of your site.
Basic principle boxes
Many of the design elements for the website are boxes. Depending on the function, they can be filled with one content (e.g. contact box) or with several similar contents as so-called "multiboxes" (e.g. FAQ box). Thereby, the box itself serves only as a "frame" in which the actual content is stored centrally in the resource folder. This has the advantage that boxes only have to be created once, but can be integrated in several places. Changes to the content are made directly in the boxes and automatically updated on the websites where the boxes are used. This approach reduces maintenance/control effort and helps ensure the quality of your pages.
Displaying boxes
Boxes can be included in full or half content width on content pages. Half-width boxes can be left- or right-justified. In addition, a text wrap can be activated at half width. This allows you to design your pages individually and flexibly and to adjust the display according to the application scenario. On the following subpages you can see which concrete display options the individual elements offer on content pages.
