EIB Lecture Series (3v4) on 27 June: "The EIB's business cycle and the Bank's activities in Germany" with Heike Freimuth, Head of the EIB Group Germany

On 27 June 2024, the Centre for International Studies invites you to the second event in the Lecture Series "The European Investment Bank".

Ms Heike Freimuth, Head of the EIB Group Office in Germany, will give a one and a half hour lecture on Thursday 27 June 2024 on the EIB's business cycle and the Bank's activities in Germany to support the green transition and innovation.

The speaker, Ms Heike Freimuth is Head of the EIB Group Office in Germany located in Berlin, where she is responsible for representing the Group vis-à-vis its shareholder Germany and other relevant parliamentary and institutional stakeholders as well as interacting with business associations, think tanks and existing and potential clients. 
She has been with European Investment Bank (EIB) since 1995, mainly in the Lending Operations Directorate, where she has been working on a broad range of lending transactions covering sovereign, corporate lending as well as credit lines and structured finance deals in Africa. Since 2011, she has been heading various teams dealing with more horizontal administrative, strategy, policy and communication matters as well as institutional relationships with stakeholders and development partners for the non-EU activities of the Bank, lately the division for Institutional & Policy Affairs for the EU Neighbouring Countries. From June 2019 until August 2021, she was seconded to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as Senior Advisor on EU-Africa affairs in the context of the German EU-Presidency.
Heike Freimuth is the third guest speaker in this lecture series in cooperation with the EIB Institute.
