A. On-site research in the PIZ
Our staff will support you in your search work.
Only commercial databases on all industrial property rights, i.e. patents, utility models, trademarks and designs with largely worldwide coverage are offered for use. You can find more details on the Databases page.
B. Contract searches
We always prepare quotations for patent searches, individually tailored to your requirements and graded according to retrospectivity and regional coverage. You can download an order form , fill it out and send it back to us.
Experienced searchers trained in engineering will carry out your orders quickly and reliably. During processing, a constant exchange of ideas between the client and the researcher is possible. The result is a search report with relevant documents grouped and annotated according to relevance.
Depending on your requirements, specialist subject search analysts with expertise in different areas, can perform general, prior art, novelty, infringement (freedom to operate), destruction or appeal searches.
The exact search strategy is determined in consultation with the client:
- Compilation of searchable units classed according to the International Patent Classification, the CPC and national JP and US classifications
- Combinations of search terms and database searches
- Determining intellectual property rights of a specific company (e.g. competitor) or even of specific inventors
- Focusing on specific countries, time frames and technical criteria
- Preparation and analysis of the collected data according to your requirements
- Tracking of all so-called members of a patent family who are directly or indirectly linked by one or more priority filings.
- Searches can be carried out for extended or INPADOC families (direct and indirect links via priorities) as well as for close patent families (only direct links via priorities).
- The report also covers all available national and international legal statuses.
- Recherche nach deutschen sowie anderen nationalen weltweiten Marken, Gemeinschaftsmarken (EU) und internationalen Marken
- Abstimmung der zu recherchierenden Klassen nach der Empfehlungsliste der „Einteilung der Waren und Dienstleistungen“ (Nizza) des Deutschen Patent- und Markenamtes
- Ermittlung identischer und ähnlicher Wort-, Wort-/Bild- und Bild-Marken mittels kommerzieller Marken-Datenbanken
- Bildmarkenrecherche nach der Wiener Klassifikation zum Auffinden ähnlicher und/oder identischer Marken
Erstellung des Monitoring-Profils nach IPC-Notationen, Erfindern, Anmeldern bzw. dem Rechtsstand für alle Schutzrechtsarten (Patente, Gebrauchsmuster, Marken und Designs).
- Aufbereitung und Auswertung der ermittelten Daten je nach Auftrag
- Eingrenzung auf bestimmte Länder / Ämter, Zeiträume sowie auf Sachgebiete
- Übergabe der Ergebnisse in Papier- oder elektronischer Form
- individuelle Profile auch mit Nutzung von Schlagworten möglich
Der Zugriff auf nationale und internationale Rechtsstands-Register gibt Auskunft über den aktuellen Verfahrensstand der jeweiligen Schutzrechte.
Aussagen können so erfolgen zu Prüfungsantrag, Erteilung, Einspruch oder Widerspruch, Löschungen, Zahlung von Gebühren usw.
