Research Interests
I am interested in interdisciplinary research in psychiatry, transdisciplinary Mental Health, Planetary Health and the philosophy of science.
During my doctoral studies on delay discounting and intertemporal choice, I investigated behavioral mechanisms of nicotine use disorder, using decision-making models and functional MRI analyses.
While continuing my clinical training in psychiatry, I want to move towards transdisciplinary research. I am interested in cross-disciplinary conceptual transfers (e.g. metaphoric transfer: Societal Addiction, reflection of epistemic reach of one’s discipline) and currently studying to obtain an M.A. in European Philosophy part-time. My aim is investigate epistemological issues of interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and to develop concepts for Mental Healthcare in Anthropocene.
