Research Interests
My main research focus is on meta-control during adolescence. Within a longitudinal approach, we aim to understand the development of several mechanisms underlying adolescent decision making such as temporal discounting and reversal learning on a behavioral and neuronal level. Furthermore, we want to know whether those mechanisms have an impact on early alcohol use and vice versa.
As a basis for our analyses, we deal with the methodological challenges of longitudinal approaches and the investigation of interindividual differences, such as reliability of fMRI data.
