Central recruitment, imaging and biobanking (TRR 265, Project S01)
The main aims of project S01are to support the recruitment and basic characterization of the central cohort (the A01/S01 cohort) of 1050 subjects (3 age categories of 300 subjects each: 16-32, 33-49 and 50-65 years plus 150 controls), the furnishing and acquisition of a basic neurocognitive and neuroimaging battery, ongoing support of neuroimaging data
acquisition including online quality assurance (QA) procedures, the collection and storage of biomaterial for genome-wide genetic and epigenetic analyses including the calculation of polygenic risk scores for analyses in the subprojects of the CRC/TRR 265. The central cohort will be acquired in equal proportions at the three scanning sites Berlin, Dresden and Mannheim and provide a shared data set for projects A01-04, A06 Durstewitz, Koppe), B01 (Schlagenhauf, Endrass), and B03 (Heinz, Pilhatsch), B08 (Sommer, Koppe, Kirsch) and B09 (Smolka, Kiebel) with a focus on alcohol use with and without comorbid drug use. S01 will complement the short term, variable state markers collected in A01-A04 by collecting
persisting trait markers, such as genetics, basic brain anatomy and function, neuropsychological function according to RDoC as well as psychosocial markers.
