Typical for my daily work routine are the following activities and tasks:
international activities, legal and business consulting, negotiations, interdisciplinary communication, mediation between different legal and economic systems
For my German-speaking clients I look for solutions in different legal systems, whereby I usually need very good mediation skills.
My job requires above all... [these skills and interests]
communication and mediation skills, multitasking, improvisation, intercultural competence, international educational backgrounds, experiences with various legal systems, being up-to-date with the latest news and the current political situation in the regions I work in
What I love most about my job... / What I enjoy most about my job is...
the varied tasks, the endless possibilities for further development, the continuous challenges and the opportunities to work in different places and gather interdisciplinary experiences, for instance through a cooperation with architects, urban planners, designers, medical professionals, financial experts, and other specialists.
I had chosen the LL.M. postgraduate program "Common Legal Space Europe - European Integration and Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe" at TU Dresden because...
I was very interested in the content of the program, especially regarding European integrations and South-Eastern Europe. The degree course was highly recommended to me, some friends and acquaintances of mine were enrolled in it as well. Furthermore, I wanted to get to know Dresden better.
This experience from university and/or professional practice prepared me the most for my current career:
working for an international organization
The most important thing I learned during my studies for my future profession is...
that the openness to new ideas, diversity and internationality are extremely important for the Europe of today. Thanks to the international character of the TU Dresden - regarding teachers as well as my fellow students - I gathered valuable experiences.
I can give students the following tips to help them find or achieve their career goal:
Never give up, keep moving forward. Make contacts and maintain them.
I find professional information…
at specialist lectures and conferences as well as in professional journals. I am a member of various trade associations and service clubs, and receive different subject-related newsletters.
In the future, it will be important in my professional field...
to preserve personal contacts and lively exchanges with other people despite the digitalization and new types of communication.
