Kristina Herzog
Kristina Herzog is a psychologist and research assistant at the Elternhilfe für krebskranke Kinder e.V. Leipzig. She did her PHD at the Faculty of Psychology (Technische Universität Dresden).
Her research interests are
- Prevention of suicidality in children and adolescents
- Illness perceptions and coping in children with cancer and their families
Moreover, Kristina is member of the Open Science Initiative of the TUD and spokesperson of the research work group of the „Psychosocial Association in Paediatric Oncology and Haematology (PSAPOH)".
Kristina has received numerous awards for her research:
- 2022: Reinhold-Schwarz awars for psychooncology for her publication "Illness perceptions in patients and parents in paediatric oncology during acute treatment and follow-up care" (https://doi.org/10.1002/pon.5883)(Pressemitteilung ).

- 2025: Award of the des German College for Psychosomatic Medicine for her dissertation.
