Kristina Herzog
Kristina Herzog is a psychologist and research assistant at the Elternhilfe für krebskranke Kinder e.V. Leipzig. She did her PHD at the Faculty of Psychology (Technische Universität Dresden).
Her research interests are
- Prevention of suicidality in children and adolescents
- Illness perceptions and coping in children with cancer and their families
Moreover, Kristina is member of the Open Science Initiative of the TUD and spokesperson of the research work group of the „Psychosocial Association in Paediatric Oncology and Haematology (PSAPOH)".
In september 2022, Kristina was awarded with the Reinhold-Schwarz award in psychooncology for her publication "Illness perceptions in patients and parents in paediatric oncology during acute treatment and follow-up care" (press release, https://doi.org/10.1002/pon.5883).
In 2023, together with colleagues from Elternhilfe e.V. and Sonnenstrahl e.V., she received the Children's Cancer Foundation's recognition award for the publication "Screening for the assessment of psychosocial aftercare needs in pediatric oncology (NPO-11) for self and parent report" (https://doi.org/10.1055/a-2070-7720, press release).
In 2024, Kristina Herzog was awarded with the Open Science Award of the Open Science Initiative of the Faculty of Psychology at TU Dresden.
