COVID-19 regulations
As of today, the 7-days incidence of new infections in Dresden is 477(https://stva-dd.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/e957f6b9cf3144bea1339f4a18f12e98).
To minimize the risk of infections and promote safety, we strongly recommend that attendees adhere to the following protective measures during the symposium, even though there is no longer a mandatory requirement to do so according to regulations of the state of Saxony and the city of Dresden.
- All attendees should perform a daily Corona self-test prior to access to the conference venue. (Speakers will be handed a set of self-tests free of charge at the hotel check-in).
- All attendees should wear a FFP2-mask in the lecture hall and all indoor spaces (we can provide each participant with one mask free of charge). An exception are speakers who need not wear a mask while giving their talk and during the discussion (there will be larger distance to the first row of the auditorium).
- In the lecture hall, the distance between tables for individual participants will be approximately 1.5 meter. If weather condition permit, we will open large doors for good ventilation. In this case, participants may remove masks temporarily when sitting at their table at their own discretion, although we recommend wearing masks most of the time, as this is the single most effective measure to prevent spread of the virus and protect yourself.
- Where it is impossible to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters in indoor spaces (e.g., at the Poster session), all participants should wear FFP2-masks.
- Use of the Corona warning app is recommended.
- Observance of general hygiene rules.
- Attendees who show symptoms of COVID-19 (even when having a negative Corona test) should not participate in person.
- Attendees at an elevated risk of having been infected should not participate in person. This concerns especially persons who were in contact within the past 10 days with another person tested positive for Corona shortly afterwards and the contact was indoors at a short distance and without both persons wearing masks.
- If weather conditions allow it, coffee breaks, lunch, dinner, and barbecue will take place in outdoor areas of the hotel, where not wearing a mask involves a much lower risk.
