Hands-on Eye Tracking Workshop

Überblick
This workshop will offer an overview of eye tracking approaches and give in an introduction to experimental setups and methods, including eye tracking data. Further uses of eye tracking, for example as a diagnostic tool or for gaze-based interactions, will be discussed. The workshop will tailor to the participant's needs, and registered participants will be asked to fill out a short survey.

Within this workshop we guide you shortly through the funding programs of the German research association and other research funding organizations of relevance. Aim of the seminar is to shed light on the detailed structure and important points to make your proposal competitive as well as all formal aspects of the DFG-proposal (Basic Module & Module Temporary Positions for Principal In- vestigators). You will have the possibility to discuss your questions regarding your own DFG-proposal and to active- ly work on its content. The seminar addresses particularly applicants with no or only little experience in proposal writing and grant applications.

Structural equation modeling is a form of causal modeling which allows to fit networks of variables - including latent variables - to observed data. This workshop will offer an overview of the basic ideas and applications in psychology, using Onyx and the R packag- es OpenMX and lavaan.
