Research Statement
In the CRC I investigate how volitional control processes and the underlying neural mechanism are modulated by emotions and reward processes. Furthermore I am interested in the cognitive mechanisms of intuitive judgments and implicit learning processes. In particular I investigate effects of emotional states on the ability to make intuitive judgments and on the spreading of activation in semantic memory.
