Public guided tour: In the right place at the right time - the successful cultivation of annual summer flowers (with practical tips from sowing to planting out)
Die kletternde Schwarzäugige Susanne (Thunbergia alata) besitzt attraktiv gelbe Blüten mit schwarzem Zentrum.
They are bright and colorful - cosmea, marigold, zinnia and cornflower. They offer the opportunity to create new flowerbeds every year and attract a variety of insects. Annual summer flowers are therefore very popular. But when is the right time to sow them? How do I prick out correctly and when can the plants be planted outdoors? Open-air gardener Fritz Baier will answer these and many other questions during a public guided tour next Sunday and provide exciting insights into the Botanical Garden's extensive special collection of around 800 annual plant species.
The meeting point for the guided tour is 10 a.m. in the entrance area of the garden at Stübelallee 2. All public guided tours are free of charge - donations welcome!
