Public guided tour on November 2: Crops in the cold house - overwintering, pests and their control
Magnificent blooms of the triplet flower (Bougainvillea glabra) in pot culture
The Botanical Garden's extensive collection of potted plants has already moved into its winter quarters in the Rainforest House II. On Sunday, November 2, 2025, you can find out how popular ornamental plants can be professionally cultivated and overwintered in pots during a public guided tour with gardener Josef Gogollok. During the tour, you will learn tips on care, pest control and repotting as well as interesting facts about cultivating certain species, including coral trees, palms and bougainvillea. The meeting point is 2 p.m. in the entrance area of the garden at Stübelallee 2.
Due to limited space (15 participants) in the Rainforest House II, participation in this guided tour is only possible by appointment: bot.garten@tu-dresden.de
All public tours are free of charge - donations welcome!
