Scholar Markus Leyser takes part in the ERCIS Doctoral Consortium
From March 3-10, 2024, our member Markus Leyser(Project E5) took part in the ERCIS Doctoral Consortium in Pitztal (Austria).
The Doctoral Consortium is a mentoring event for doctoral students in their second to third year. It is organized by the ERCIS network (European Research Center for Information Systems), a scientific network in the field of information technology, applied computer science and data science. Prof. Pascal Kerschke (Member of the Board of the Boysen-TU Dresden Graduate School and Chair of Big Data Analytics in Transportation) is a member of this network. Researchers from the universities of Münster, Paderborn, Leiden, Agder, Twente and Dresden took part in the Doctoral Consortium 2024.
In mutual exchange and with the members of the ERCIS network present, the participants were able to further develop their research from a methodological and thematic perspective. They informed each other about their research work in flipchart presentations and with posters. In addition to presenting their own research topics and results, they also had the opportunity to discuss current challenges. However, the focus of the event was on the mutual professional exchange afterwards. The exchange between the very diverse (sub-)disciplines was particularly interesting, as was the helpful input from the participants' own disciplines. There was plenty of time for this, as well as for personal consultations.
The location in Pitztal in Tyrol also allowed for winter sports under the best conditions and joint exploration of the landscape away from the program items, which deepened the exchange.
We would like to thank the ERCIS network for organizing this event and look forward to further exchanges. Please feel free to connect with ERCIS and us on LinkedIn.
