Homemade summer fairy tale - Summer party 2024
On the evening of July 10, 2024, the members of the 4th Boysen-TU Dresden- Research Training Group celebrated a joint summer party. PIs and doctoral students alike gladly accepted the invitation of Managing Director Dr. Anna Martius to her garden. The speakers made a significant contribution to the hospitality by once again contributing a lion's share to the success of the event with their culinary delights.

...you have to be allowed to put your feet up sometimes as a doctoral student
The big highlight in good weather and summer temperatures was the preparation of a Spanish paella mixta with meat and seafood by the speaker of the RTG, Prof. Antonio Hurtado. He was supported by various hard-working helpers who assisted with cutting the ingredients or were allowed to pass him the water (for the paella rice, of course). Thanks to a wide variety of additional side dishes, salads and dishes contributed by, for example, vegetarians from the ranks of the students, all guests were well catered for and obviously very satisfied.
With pleasant music, which also invited everyone to dance at times, all participants enjoyed the good atmosphere in a beautiful ambience and had stimulating conversations that further promoted the familiarity and cohesion of the Research Training Group. To round off a pleasant evening, Prof. Lutz Hagen, speaker of the RTG, served a specially prepared tiramisu dessert.

Arriving at the tiramisu.
The summer party once again managed to show everyone involved the special spirit of the Boysen-TU Dresden- Research Training Group community and the benefits of meaningful cooperation beyond one's own nose - because cutting, clearing, organizing, and celebrating together also connects and welds together!
