Colloquium of Doctoral students with the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung
On 24 and 25 April, the colloquium of doctoral students of the Friedrich und Elisabeth Boysen-Stiftung (engl. Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen-Foundation) took place in Altensteig, Baden-Württemberg, where the headquarters of the Boysen GmbH & Co. KG is situated. The charitable foundation is the general owner of the medium-sized company, which specializes in exhaust technology and employs 2,200 people in 17 facilities across the globe. Almost all of the 25 young scientists funded by the foundation, their supervisors, and leading employees of the Boysen GmbH participated in the event. As all projects are involved with energy technology and environmental protection, the meeting provided a perfect platform to present and connect the individual projects. Last year valuable insights into the company were gathered during a tour of both production and R&D facilities. Once again, dinner at the Hirsch Country Inn was the event’s undisputed highlight. During his engaging dinner speech, Boysen CEO Senator Rolf Geisel gave a vivid impression of the company’s spirit.
