Congratulations on the successful defense
On December 16, 2025, Mr. Lauritz Bühler (Project H5) successfully defended his dissertation submitted to the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at TU Dresden. The research work with the topic "Technological Learning and the Competitiveness of Selected Hydrogen Technologies" was supervised by Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst (TU Dresden, Chair of Business Administration, esp. Energy Economics). In his research, Lauritz Bühler examined the technological development of electrolysers and the potential for supplying green hydrogen in the European Union. His work focused on the analysis of learning curves to estimate the future cost development of these technologies and the question of the extent to which the EU can cover its future hydrogen requirements at competitive conditions.
Lauritz Bühler presented the main results of his work during the disputation and discussed the prospects of hydrogen technologies in the German and European energy system in detail with the doctoral committee. The committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Sassen (chair), Prof. Dr. Möst (supervisor and first reviewer), Prof. Dr. Buscher (second reviewer) and Prof. Dr. Kemnitz.
