Sustainable Energy Systems - Interdependence between Technical Design and Social Acceptance
In connection with interdisciplinary lectures, projects and excursions, the participants of the summer school “Sustainable Energy Systems - Interdependence between Technical Design and Social Acceptance” experienced the interdependence of engineering, social and economic questions regarding the development of sustainable energy systems.
Extract from the newsletter for the Excellence Initiative 2nd October 2013: "Last weekend the summer school of the Boysen-TU Dresden-Graduiertenkolleg 'Sustainable Energy Systems - Interdependence of Technical Design and Social Acceptance' was concluded. Participants of the summer school were doctoral students from the Boysen-TU Dresden-Graduiertenkolleg as well as external participants from countries like Italy, Great Britain, Macedonia, Morocco, Russia and Turkey. Speakers were nine Professors of TU Dresden which are also board members in the Boysen-TU Dresden-Graduiertenkolleg and seven more international experts on engineering, economics, communication and political science. The organizer summed up with a very positive statement: “Our summer school was a complete success,” said Prof. Dominik Möst. “We received a lot of positive feed-back from the participants and are very satisfied.
