Doctoral student at the 37th Conference of the International Electrochemical Society (ISE)
From June 9 to 12, 2024 the members of Cluster G, Electrocatalysts for a Competitive Hydrogen Economy, participated in the 37th Topical Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) in Stresa on Lake Maggiore, Italy.
The 4 days were filled with presentations and discussions involving over 500 experts from all over the world. The theme "Electrochemical energy for a greener and more sustainable future society" was divided into sessions on batteries (S1 - Lithium technology and S2 - New chemical approaches) and hydrogen technology (S3 - Production and S4 - Conversion), including groundbreaking presentations summarizing what we have learned so far about catalyst synthesis and the challenges of applications including knowledge transfer to industrial production.
Doctoral student Lairana L. Duarte (Project G1 - Experimental studies on doping of carbon materials ...) and doctoral student Stefan Röher (Project G2 - Functionalized carbon materials and operando analysis ...) presented the latest results of their current research projects in the form of two posters in the session dedicated to hydrogen conversion technologies. The TU Dresden team at the conference was completed by Linda Feuerstein and Fanny Reichmayr, both from the Chair of Electrochemistry.
