NanoTage 2024 - doctoral student represents the RTG
Every year, doctoral students from the inorganic chemistry departments of six German universities meet for an internal symposium, the NanoTage - a three-day event where they share their latest research results, discuss challenges and possible collaborations on topics related to nanomaterials and nanotechnology.
NanoTage 2024 took place from 7 to 9 August 2024 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and was organized by the group of Professor Claus Feldmann, who gratefully accepted the challenge after last year's event in Dresden. In addition to Karlsruhe doctoral students, the event included participants from the following universities/working groups:
- RWTH Aachen, working group of Prof. Ulrich Simon
- University of Cologne, working group of Prof. Sanjay Mathur
- University of Hamburg, working group of Prof. Tobias Becke
- University of Koblenz, working group of Prof. Simone Mascotto
- TU Dresden, working groups of Prof. Stefan Kaskel and Prof. Michael Ruck
The Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group was represented by the presentation of Lairana Lima Duarte (sub-project G1). In addition to her, Lukas Mielewczyk, Christin Gellrich and Nick Niese from Prof. Kaskel's working group as well as Mohammad Mehmandoust, Yubing Wang and Oliver Dreimann from Prof. Ruck's working group represented TU Dresden.
The event comprised a total of 29 lectures on topics such as ionotronics, electrocatalysis, synthesis and applications of nanoparticles. In addition to the scientific output, the participants also enjoyed cultural activities, including a city tour, a guided tour of the games exhibition at the ZKM - Center for Art and Media - and a joint dinner.
We are already looking forward to the next NanoTage from October 8 to 9, 2025.
