New lecture series "Mobility4Future – Making Moves towards Climate-friendly Mobility"
"How can transportation be made sustainable?"
This week the new lecture series "Mobility4Future – Making Moves towards Climate-friendly Mobility" starts, in which German and international experts discuss possible solutions in the field. Prof. Udo Becker, who is involved in the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group as supervisor of the D2 project, opens the series together with Dr. Falk Richter (Chair of Transport Ecology, TU Dresden) and the questions "What does climate-neutral transportation actually mean?” and “Is it even possible?” To do this, they take a closer look at the term “climate-neutral transportation” and how various actors use it, and question what contributions it makes to the mobility and energy transition.
Starting from April 14 and meeting on Wednesdays between 4:40 p.m. and 6:10 p.m., various scientists will offer an interdisciplinary overview of the variety of research areas related to mobility, including sociological and technological developments, infrastructure planning and digitization, and environmental and economic aspects. Talks will be held in either German or English. The event is part of the general study program for students and is also open to TU employees and interested parties.
