Preparation for the Spring Colloquium
The spring colloquium with all members of the 4th Boysen-TUD Research Training Group will take place on 17 April 2023. There, all doctoral students will have the opportunity to present themselves, the sub-projects they are working on within their cluster, and the planned next steps. This intensive exchange is the official kick-off for the Research Training Group, where everyone gets to know each other better, and is an important building block for fully exploiting the potential of the interdisciplinarity that is characteristic of the Research Training Group.
In preparation for the colloquium, each cluster had the task of designing a poster depicting research foci and interfaces between the sub-projects. After a lot of creativity and work went into these posters over the last few weeks, the final drafts were presented this week and final optimisations were made. Working on the poster together already promotes intensive exchange and getting to know each other, and it shows the connections between the sub-projects in the cluster - a successful start to the collective research work!
Poster production traditionally serves as an initial team-building exercise at the beginning of a new research period. Each cluster will present its poster to start the colloquium, followed by individual presentations. Each year, a guest lecture is invited as a special item on the colloquium agenda. In 2023, it will be the presentation of H2UB, the first pan-European platform for hydrogen start-ups and innovations (the RTG reported), which is expected to provide exciting insights.
The new doctoral students are looking forward to their first colloquium at the Research Training Group with great anticipation and joy!
