Review: autumn colloquium, board meeting, and advisory board meeting of the RTG
On November 10th and 11th, 2021, the 5th colloquium (autumn colloquium) of the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group (hybrid), a board meeting (hybrid), and an advisory board meeting (in attendance) took place.
After almost 3 years of research, the presentations of all colleagues in the autumn colloquium showed significant progress compared to the state of the spring colloquium, as well as the results of their hard work thus far. In addition, the four clusters were able to present their respective interdisciplinary cooperation, the research focus, and the importance of each individual cluster for the core topic of the 3rd Boysen TU Dresden graduate school: "Mobility in Transition". Through the helpful, often cross-cluster feedback from supervisors on the presentations, the speakers also received new perspectives and assistance for the future. All international collegiate participants demonstrated their acquired knowledge of German with a brief introduction of themselves and the motivation for the project in German before switching back to English as the language of the lecture.
On the first day of the autumn colloquium, the 5th board meeting of the 3rd Boysen TU Dresden graduate college also took place, in which, among other things, empirical values from the current graduate college were discussed with the aim of constantly improving the college.
In a relaxed atmosphere on the evening of the first day of the event, all participants of the autumn colloquium, the Prorector for Research at the TU Dresden, Prof. Rösen-Wolff, and Prof. Fasoulas and Dr. Dreizler, board members of the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation, attended the joint dinner - all three people are also members of the Advisory Board of the Boysen TU Dresden Research Training Group.
The internal advisory board meeting, which took place in a small group on the second day, was the prelude to the second part of the autumn colloquium, where the guests from the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation stayed to listen to the lectures. We would like to thank everyone for their interest and valuable contributions!
