Board Meeting and Spring Colloquium (20-22.04.2021)

On April 20, 2021, the 4th board meeting of the 3rd Boysen-TUD Research Training Group took place virtually with almost all board members participating. This productive day was then followed by the two-day spring colloquium carried out on April 21 and 22 in hybrid form and in compliance with protective measures against coronavirus. After, in most cases, about two years of progress within their projects, the colleagues presented their research designs, methodologies, findings up to this point, and explained what is planned in the future. Splitting the colloquium into four cluster-specific groups helped foster a very good culture of discussion: Along with colleagues and supervisors from their own clusters, various representatives from other clusters attended as well, resulting in interdisciplinary, cross-cluster perspectives while keeping the scale small enough for deeper discussions. These discussions and the feedback sessions will be used in follow-ups to provide inspiration and will be implemented in the following work. The translation of rather specific topics so that they would be understandable for researchers of other fields was a good exercise for close interdisciplinary cooperation and for the expansion of the vocabulary and terminology we should be familiar with.
