B5: Trust in mobile value chains with informational character

Trust is central to value chains as it enhances motivation, effectiveness, and efficiency. In this subproject the role of trust in SD-MSCs will be analyzed. In particular, the influence of the exchange of information and the quality of information should be taken into account and the tension between trust and confidentiality illuminated. For this purpose, a theoretical model should be developed and empirically tested through a combination of surveys and experiments with participants of SD-MSCs. From the results, recommendations for the optimization of the exchange of information and the conception of confidence-building measures in SD-MSCs shall be derived.
