Born in 1982, Francis Jacquier is one of the two founding members
of the architecture and urban planning firm Atelier Archiplein,
based in Geneva (2010) and originally founded in Shanghai (2008).
He graduated in 2007 at the EPFL and also holds a heritage architect
diploma (DSA) from the École de Chaillot (Paris). His expertise in
heritage conservation led to his selection as one of the lead architects
for the architectural survey of the Canton of Geneva (RAC: 2015–
2023).
Within the practice he oversees the entire production process, from
design to execution. He has developed a unique expertise in the use
of natural materials, particularly in structural solid stone
construction, within the Swiss cultural, regulatory, and economic
context.
Over the last years Atelier Archiplein won several architectural
awards and also taught a design studio at Ecole du patrimoine
Chaillot in Paris.
