Florian Summa, Prof.-Dipl.-Ing.
is an architect and professor of the Foundations of Architectural Design at TU Dresden. After working in London and Zurich, he founded the office SUMMACUMFEMMER Architekt*innen in Leipzig in 2015 together with Anne Femmer. Through a variety of collaborations, the office carries out socio-ecological construction and transformation projects with a focus on research-based experiments. In 2023, they co-curated the German Pavilion at the 18th Architecture Biennale in Venice, creating a field lab on repair practices for buildings used by civil society initiatives. Florian Summa has taught and conducted research at numerous European universities, including ETH Zurich, TU Munich, TU Graz, UdK Berlin, TU Dublin, and EPF Lausanne. He is vice-chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation.
Cornelia Hofmann
has been in charge of the administrative management of the Chair of Foundations of Architectural Design since 2018. She is also responsible for the organisation of doctoral projects at the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at TU Dresden.
Alexander Barina, Dipl.-Ing.
is an architect and founder of STUDIO BARINA in Leipzig. After earning his degree from the Berlin University of the Arts, he worked in the office of Adolf Krischanitz (Vienna) and as a freelance collaborator for Lacaton & Vassal (Paris), among other positions. Since 2018, he has been active in teaching. He has served as a lecturer at TU Wien and HTWK Leipzig, a research associate at TU Graz, and a visiting lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts. In addition to his work as an architect and lecturer at TU Dresden, he is pursuing a doctorate on the topic of “Tolerances” at TU Graz.
Lorenz Brobeil, Dipl.-Ing.
studied architecture at TU Dresden, where he received his diploma in 2023. He gained practical experience in Portugal as a member at the architecture studio oitoo (Porto) and at office Knerer und Lang (Dresden). Since 2024, he has been a teaching and research associate at the Chair of the Foundations of Architectural Design and works on his own projects in parallel.
Kristina Hendker
studied architecture at the Udk Berlin and TU Vienna as well as international development at the University of Vienna. In her master's thesis, which was awarded the Max Taut Prize, she looked for futures in the contradictions and conflicts of urban ecosystems. After working in various architectural offices between Vienna and Berlin, she has been working at Holzer Kobler Architekturen (Berlin/Zurich) since 2025. Since 2026 she has been a freelance lecturer at the Chair of Fundamentals of Design.
Juliane Hübler
has been studying architecture at TU Dresden since 2022 and has been a Student Assistant at the Chair of Fundamentals of Design since 2024.
Beatrice Koch, Dipl.-Ing.
studied architecture at Graz University of Technology and the University of Antwerp. Since 2022, she has been working as a project manager at the architectural office SUMMACUMFEMMER in Leipzig, where her projects have included the German Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale and the renovation of the naTo e.V. socio-cultural center in Leipzig. In addition, she has been a lecturer at the Chair of Foundations of Architectural Design since 2026.
Maximilian Kunze, Dipl.-Ing.
is an architect and has been running the office Architekten Kunze Reisnecker (Dresden) together with Bastian Reisnecker since 2019. After completing his studies at TU Dresden and ETH Zurich and working at various architectural firms, he served as a teaching and research assistant to visiting professors Maria Conen / Raoul Sigl and Job Floris at TU Dresden from 2018 to 2021. Since 2026, he has been a lecturer at the Chair of Foundations of Architectural Design.
