Formats

DESIGN STUDIOS
All design formats explore the housing of tomorrow in urban or suburban-rural contexts in a research-oriented and experimental manner.
The projects are developed by the students in regular consultations with the studio staff and further advanced in a discursive way during critique sessions with the professors and guest critics.

DIPLOM
It is possible to pursue an independent diploma design project. All diploma students are supervised by the studio staff through consultations as needed.
If you are interested in working on a self-chosen diploma topic, please submit a project outline, a portfolio of relevant work samples, and a short statement of motivation by e-mail (max. 10 MB / text 1/2 DIN A4 page).

LECTURE
In the winter semester, the lecture series "Anatomie des Wohnens" takes place.
It introduces and analyzes the fundamentals of housing design, outstanding reference projects, and innovative residential typologies.

SEMINARS
At irregular intervals, a variety of seminars are offered that address different aspects of architectural production and communication.
In addition, design-build projects are organized, highlighting areas of practice beyond planning and design.

SPECIAL FORMATS
Our department offers further courses such as excursions, events and lectures as part of special formats.
