LM220 - PART "Landscape planning in the context of spatial planning"

the seminar series Landscape Planning in the Context of Spatial Planning will take place on Tuesdays at 09:20 and 12:40 in BZW/B/101 . The course starts on April 14, 2026. Please refer to the schedule below for more information.

Course content

Spatial planning should be understood beyond the classic understanding of overall spatial planning as an approach to sustainable development. In addition to formal instruments and methods, informal instruments and methods are also discussed. The aim is to achieve a confident and creative use of planning tools.

Topics are

• Spatial planning plans and the associated landscape planning instruments,
• urban land-use planning and the associated landscape planning instruments,
• the environmental assessment at the level of preparatory and binding urban land-use planning,
• intervention regulation in building law, eco-accounts and land pools,
• balancing and evaluation methods,
• informal planning approaches,
• participation and social science methods in landscape planning and
• a range of current topics.
