Use of IT resources

A valid university-wide ZIH account is required for access to the central IT resources of the TUD and a faculty account is required for access to the IT resources of the Faculty of Architecture.

• The TUD-ZIH account data was transmitted as part of the enrollment process. The central TUD services (see service overview) can be used via this account. With this ZIH login, you can view your account data via the self-service and, if necessary, apply for or book IT services and change your password. All important information at the TUD is distributed via this TUD-ZIH account or the associated TUD e-mail address. The emails can be accessed and managed via the Outlook Web App. Please test your login access and check your emails regularly, especially before digital or hybrid events, so that any access changes etc. communicated at short notice can reach you in good time! can reach you in good time!
• The faculty accounts can be activated or extended via https://alacli05.arch.tu-dresden.de/tu-ssp/. To do this, enter the ZIH account name and the ZIH password. You can then access the faculty's digital resources.

An active VPN connection is required for external access to IT resources. Please set up the VPN connection according to the ZIH instructions and activate it before accessing the desired IT resources.

Once the VPN has been activated, you can then connect to the services and resources of the university and the faculty or Institute. For UNI resources, use the UNI domain dom and the user login dom\username and for faculty resources, use the faculty domain adom and the user login adom\username .
