Schulz und Schulz: best architects 23

Prof. Ansgar Schulz and Prof. Benedikt Schulz (Schulz und Schulz, Leipzig) were awarded "best architects" in this year for the 11th times. The DBFZ Technikum Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum was honoured in the category "Office & Administration Buildings".

The "best architects Award" is presented annually to completed buildings that stand out for their outstanding architectural quality. An independent jury of renowned architects stands for the first-class quality of the award-winning buildings. The jury members for the best architects 23 were Prof. Andrew Clancy (Dublin), Prof. Felix Waechter (Darmstadt) and Daniel Zamarbide (Geneva). Prizes were awarded to the best entries in each of the following categories: conversions & extensions, residential buildings, office and administrative buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, educational buildings, public buildings, other buildings, infrastructure buildings and interior design. At the end of the competition process, all award-winning works will be documented in a detailed publication, which is available through bookshops.
